Standards & Accreditation

Australian National Institute of Technology Pty Ltd T/A Johnston Institute is a registered Institute of Higher Education with the Australian Government’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). We deliver accredited higher education courses to domestic and international students. (Subject to TEQSA Approval)

The instrument establishing Johnston Institute is the Constitution of Australian National Institute of Technology Pty Ltd (ACN 670 750 900), duly registered under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). This instrument defines our purpose, governance framework, and commitment to delivering high-quality higher education.

Johnston Institute is dedicated to delivering industry-aligned education and empowering students to achieve excellence in their professional careers. All courses delivered by Johnston Institute that lead to a higher education award are accredited by TEQSA and recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS)

Johnston Institute intends to apply for registration on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). Subject to this future approval, Johnston Institute plans to welcome international students to Australia on student visas. We are committed to upholding the high standards of the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) framework to ensure a quality experience for all future international learners. Tuition Protection and Course Assurance

Johnston Institute conforms to the requirements of the Australian Government’s Tuition Protection Service (TPS).

The TPS is a placement and refund service for international students and eligible domestic up-front fee-paying students. This protection ensures that, in the unlikely event Johnston Institute is unable to deliver a course for which you have paid, you will be offered a suitable alternative course or have your unspent pre-paid tuition fees refunded.

This arrangement provides financial security and peace of mind for all current and intending students undertaking a higher education award with Johnston Institute.

Legislative & Regulatory Compliance

Johnston Institute is committed to ensuring that all policies, procedures, and operations comply with relevant Commonwealth, State, and Territory legislation. Our governance framework is designed to meet the rigorous standards of the Australian higher education sector, including compliance with:

Communication & Awareness
For Staff: Johnston Institute ensures staff are kept informed of their legislative responsibilities through induction programs, professional development sessions, and our Quality Management System.
For Students: Students are provided with information regarding their rights and responsibilities under these laws through the Student Handbook, course guides, the Johnston Institute website, and during the Orientation program.
