Campus Location & Accessibility

Our purpose-built campus is conveniently located in the heart of the Melbourne Central Business District (CBD) at Level 9, 123 Lonsdale St, Melbourne.

  • Modern Classrooms: We offer versatile, modern classrooms designed for interactive learning and face-to-face instruction.

  • Computer Laboratories: Dedicated computer labs are equipped with the latest hardware and specialised software required for our Computer Science programs.

  • Student Breakout Areas: A comfortable student break-out and study space is available in the foyer for group work, self-study, or relaxing between classes, with access to on-site refreshments.

IT Infrastructure & Digital Resources

Johnston Institute ensures all students—both on-campus and online—have robust technological support.

  • Digital Library: We provide comprehensive 24/7 access to digital reference resources, reducing the need for physical textbooks. Our primary digital collection is powered by ProQuest, alongside major databases to support your research.

  • Learning Management System (LMS): All teaching materials, lectures (where applicable), tutorials, and academic support are hosted on our secure, cloud-based Moodle LMS.

  • Campus IT: Students studying on-campus have access to research and study PCs equipped with Microsoft Office and course-related programs.

Health, Safety & Well-being

Your safety is our priority. The Johnston Institute implements strict safety and security measures:

  • Campus Security: CCTV surveillance operates in public areas of the campus to ensure a secure environment.

  • Identification: All staff and students are issued an official Johnston Institute ID card.

  • Emergency Preparedness: The campus is staffed with trained Chief and Fire Wardens, as well as certified First Aid Officers.

  • Student Well-being: We provide access to professional, third-party counselling services to support your mental health. Information on emergency contacts and free external crisis support services is readily available.
